Anyone recommend a cheap hotel in London centre that will take 2 adults and 2 kids? I can only find them at about 600 quid for 3 nights! Thanks
Hotel Formule1 are extremely cheap (£30 per room)... ...if you can get availability! Not sure if the two in London are in the centre though (not knowing my London geography). The one in Liverpool is in the city centre. They're very basic (think student accommodation) but what do you need? Is there an Ibis in London? They're quite cheap too.
Yeah, squeeze em in ...then again, don't listen to me... this tightwad regularly sleeps in the car! I've learned that if I fold down the rear seats I can lay full length in the boot/back of the seats. You can take the man out of Yorkshire but...
no kidding, the night after we stayed atht eform 1 we did that on the french motorway on the back to Calais, all 4 of us, we had also done it on the way down france to the loire valley as the ferry was late and it was too late to book in anywhere, but then im also tight
RE: Hotel Formule1 are extremely cheap (£30 per room)... There's an Ibis near Canary Wharf as I stayed there when working at the Mirror on work experience.
Redbridge Premier Travel Inn About 500m from the bottom of the M11, free parking, £60ish per night & best of all it's got a tube station next door - Redbridge on the Central line, gets you into Central London in about 20-25mins.
Speaking for experience, I wouldn't risk anything under 80 quid a night in central London, and even then I'd be quite wary of anything under 100. Stayed in a place in Notting Hill last August bank holiday for 50, as booked late and it was the only place left for any sort of reasonable money. Stank of cigs, room filthy, on the ground floor, single glazing window on which the lock was broken, through which you could actually hear the carnival. None of the staff spoke English. What a nightmare. Have always bitten the bullet and paid for somewhere decent since then.......
Easy Hotel .com stayed in one in Victoria, very small and cramped but clean and efficient, £50 per night.
check out londontown.com All the best hotels in London for all budgets.

I recently stopped at the 5* Langham for £100 a night when it should be nearer 400.

depending what you want Travel lodges are generally very reasonable. You can usually get a family room for £60. i would suggets the Farringdon or kings cross one. both very good for central london. Easy hotels are ok as well. The best is the Victoria one. though they aren't as cheap as they are cracked up to be If you want something a bit nicer use www.laterooms.com. they generally have some superb deals. The grange hotels in Holborn and the city (http://www.grangehotels.com/grange_holborn_hotel/index.htm) are amazing real 5* hotels. they generally have some great deals on late rooms for weekends. £80 for a double
Excellent Website.......... and some very cheap hotels. Now I will have a look how near to Charlton some are
RE: Excellent Website.......... There's one 2 streets away from the ground, The Antigallican, £23 per nightbut it's full!
