http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/FAC4_BarnsleyCoaches.htm Has Cryne not paid for the coaches at all then?
RE: Interesting Thats what I thought. Only thing is - we didn't go on National Express coaches. They were Gordons or Johnsons.
No Cryne paid for the coaches to go down, but the FA along with Eon and National Express have their own initiative on to reduce the carbon footprint.
RE: No But the article says that we were are the first to benefit from the scheme. Is it the FA, Eon and National Express that are using our free coach success to promote this carbonfootyprint thing?
RE: No They would've put on a few coaches themselves, from Barnsley to Southend on the same day which were free, but they probably stopped at every other town on the way.
It's very simple Patrick Cryne paid for the usual Barnsley FC club coaches, and the FA/National Express/EON agreed to put on limited numbers of free coaches for away supporters for every tie as a totally separate gesture.
National express coaches and free transport Patrick Cryne paid for the Barnsley coaches to Southend. The offer by E-ON, the FA and the national express involves free places on their coaches that run to a timetable and stop as often as tracky buses between wombwell and Barnsley. Personally I would think E-ON would do betterr to reduce their inflated energy prices for their customers rather than keeping National Express running Owen
RE: National express coaches and free transport Really , they did a free coach to Everton for the Oldham fans.
Not a multi-stopper either.
