Shuker set to stay a Tyke - Ritchie Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie has revealed Chris Shuker does have a future at Oakwell, and admits "it looks as though he will be staying". It had looked as though the winger would be heading out of the exit door at Oakwell after attacking the club in the local media, which prompted the club to respond via their official website. However, Ritchie insists, following talks between the two parties, that is all water under the bridge now, and said: "We have had more positive discussions with Chris and it looks as though he will be staying. "It looks as though it will definitely be sorted next week and I am happy Chris will stay with us. It makes things a bit easier so we will be able to have a closer look at what we need to do. Hopefully, we will be able to sort out a few players." Meanwhile, the Tykes have also announced they have tied goalkeeper Nick Colgan to the club for a further two seasons. Paul Heckingbottom, however, is to undergo a scan on his injured hamstring to determine the extent of the problem.
