    I particularly liked
    "They are also thought to be considering the potential damage to United's reputation if Evans is re-signed"

    Almost made me laugh that did - they are welcome to him is all I can say - I cant think of a better match

    They really are doing their best to sneak him in the back door aren't they? Mind you, that's what he does.

    Horrible person, horrible club, match made in heaven. I hope they go on and fail abjectly together.

    I don't think they would be able to play him in away games. The amount of abuse would be incredible.

    Until one club got a hefty fine, they'd then ban the people abusing him the all other clubs will say they'd do the same then it'll be very minimal in the future just like them smoke bombs last year

    He should have learnt another trade whilst inside, the abuse will be too much for him to continue his footballing career.

    No surprise.
    It was only a matter of time. They're desperate to sign a striker and are club completely without morals.
    If Peter Sutcliffe was a goalscorer and available without a fee he'd be next in.

    Can't help wondering what Nigel's dad would have made of all this. If BRIAN Clough were Sheffield United manager it's hard to imagine that there would even be any debate about this.

    Yes, Clough Snr had his demons (drink-related) but I doubt he would have entertained any kind of convicted criminal in his team.

    You just wonder if the people above Clough are driving this. They just want someone in who can score goals, no matter what the history. Stupid though to take a punt on someone who has been out of the game for so long and who will just attract even more vilification their way.

    A club that is best defined by the word repugnant. They are the perfect club for Evans.

    Had Cheds crime been committed in the Blunts owners homeland.The victim would have been beheaded for being intoxicated and Ched would have been freed

    Tbf there are plenty of blunts fans against this and will hopefully have their way.
    The chairman Mcabe lost all credibility in this IMO he has allowed his own supporters to fall out whilst keeping mum and seeing which way the land lies in order to sign him.
    Yes there are blunts who have called for him to sign just has there has been fans from other clubs including ours although a small minority that says more about them than the majority of supporters imo.

    This is no more
    And no less than a disgrace to football if it happens. The bloke is a nonce full stop.has shown no remorse for his abominable crime nor the repercussions from his supporters on the victim and her family since.
    I hope teams can veto his appearance at their grounds even if its only for the cost of the extra security keeping him safe.
    I shall not be attending that game if he is in the squad and will review my renewal next season along with my grandsons depending on our clubs response .
    I feel strongly on this issue and can walk away from the game in a heartbeat for condoning this.

    Can't stand the **** myself however I keep hearing this "shown no remorse"

    How will someone who thinks he is and is maintaining he is innocent show remorse.

    Ah, Manor Top FC are reight scrubbers:

    - Litigious Tevez cry-babies;
    - Putting Iain Hume out for the best part of a year;
    - Not sacking Chris Morgan after the event;
    - Booing Hume at Preston for having a skull thin enough to be damaged by an elbow;
    - Singing 'there's only one Chrissy Morgan' on the night they beat us 2-1 in the year they got to the play-off final;
    - Elbow gestures from a good number of Blunts on the day of the relegation party;
    - Getting so many men sent off against West Brom that the game had to be abandoned;
    - Railroading Arsenal into a cup replay which they lost anyway;
    - Employing the misogynist Marlon King;
    - Soon to re-employ convicted rapist Ched Evans.

    The Manor Top FC season-ticket holder at my work laments: Nubdy likes us. A carn't understand why you Dingles 'ate us ser much.

    It would be common human decency to say I am sorry for ruining the girls life with my foolish actions ( not admitting owt there) and telling his supporters to stop harassing her and leave her alone.

    Im not so sure. If he genuinely believes and/or knows that she consented then he has nothing to apologise to her for. In fact if he is sure she consented then he would have every right to believe it isshe who should be apologising for making a false allegation and ruining HIS life.

    Im not claiming he is innocent but if he honestly knows he is then he has no reason to show remorse. A man who buys something from a shop but is then arrested outside for shoplifting even though he knows he paid for it wouldnt be expected to apologise for stealing when he knows thats not what happened.
