Back in the championship (where we, ahem whisper it 'belong') thanks largely to AR & RH.Hats off to ya fellas, you took a mediocre league 1 side back up, restored some much needed pride and belief and got us playing some decent, worthy of watching, football along the way - something sadly lacking over the last 4/5 seasons. So how shall we thank ya? Ah, I know, try to bully ya into signing players ya don't particularly want, tie ya hands financially when ya try to sign players ya actually would like to bring in, promise ya new contracts and then stab ya in the back when the time comes, and then slip you ya P45's when ya (quite rightly) have the balls to come out and voice ya dissapointment. What was ritchie supposed to do? Togwell and in particular McIndoe have proved to be pretty shrewd investments - was he supposed to splash cash to bring in any old donkey (maybe he could have spunked a 6-figure sum on another mike sheron)just to appease his chairman? More worryingly, many players deals run out in the summer. I feel for the poor sod who has to come in and lift morale that must now be lower than a submarine sh*thouse knowing they'll more than likely be out of the door themselves when (notice not if now, thanks to Shepards idiocy this afternoon)were down come may.
