[/B] Base is usually made of digestives which are a uniform size. Make your own if you are greedy and stick two together.

My favourite restaurant in the whole world is the Cheesecake Factory in Waikiki. You would not believe the amount of different cheesecakes they had in there and, being American, the portions were very generous. If only they would open a branch in Penistone...

As for my favourite one, impossible to say as I was only there a week, so merely made a dint into their selection. an impressive dint though. Check out their website. It's like food pornography for greedy sods like me.

We've been to the cheesecake factory in Chicago, couldn't believe one restaurant could be dedicated to offering so many different permutations of one dish.

Cheesecake is one of the few desserts I'll bother with, my favourite still has to be the classic New York style baked vanilla, preferably with double thick base.

I love vanilla, lemon, lime or orange. I once had a pistachio flavoured cheesecake which was gorgeous but I haven't ever found another so presume it was a one off special.
