just ben on official chelsea website, according to that their allocation is 5782???? either that or they aint sold that many, lol
They've still got quite a few to sell by all accounts. I think we should have given them 3,500 and shared the North Stand so we've got Barnsley supporters on all four sides of the ground for maximum atmosphere.
There's always some buggar!... I believe it was the police? Apparently it must be a real strain for the South Yorkshire Constabulary to throw along the seats a piece of plastic and position officers at various vantage points? You would have thought that they'd have jumped at the opportunity to deploy extra officers with overtime etc? Mind you, maybe the officers of today don't fancy actually working for their money? Getting all ruffled at a bit of rival supporters' banter across a bit of plastic tape.
Aye The Police Today Were Odd At Times Saw them marching Wendy fans past Outpost at about 2:10 this afternoon. Looked to be one police person for every fan (about 40-50 i'd say). Plus they stopped traffic so police vans could drive slowly behind them. All seemed a bit much.
RE: Aye The Police Today Were Odd At Times By the sounds of it that 40-50 could possibly be the OCS 'chaps'? Were they sporting all the usual signs of Stone Island, CP Company et al?
RE: There's always some buggar!... I'm not surprised SYP are reluctant to sanction too much overtime for any football match involving BFC. It isn't long since they had to write off a large amount of costs BFC owed them and I'm not talking about the admin period.
Having said that, all SYP officers will be on duty next saturday, irrespective of whether it would have beentheir non-working day (they work 6 on, 4 off) or had Leave booked.

RE: Aye The Police Today Were Odd At Times Aye could be right there pal. I believe the hooligans of most teams go in that pub to the right of the junction, about 100-200 yards from Outpost. Forgot what it's called. They were just chanting all the way down the road. Seen the Ointment (Bradford City) being taken from that same pub before. Also Scunny fans when we drew them in the FA Cup a few years ago.
syp werent on overtime today pal. they all had there days off cancelled and worked for time back. sorry to piss on your strawberries and all that but they were all working a day off for pure time back.
Are you answering me? Because if so my post is about next week not today and I never said how they were getting paid for that!
Talking of SYP As we were stuck in traffic on West Way this afternoon, my mate said he wished that the police here would be more like their counterparts on the continent & actually direct traffic to relieve congestion. When we got to Pontefract Road, just under the Sheffield Road flyover, we saw that SYP were indeed directing traffic & actually causing the hold up!
RE: Talking of SYP The traffic is always worse when Plod takes control.
Coming off Harborough Hills at 2.15 we were held up for twenty minuts while a couple of hundred Plod marched about 50 Fowls up from the station.
Traffic backed up on to the dual carriageway but of course they never gave a thought to that.

aye cops were directing (well attempting to) traffic all way to stairfoot roundanbout.... traffic near tescos comign out of wombwell looked horrendous, some wer queing all way bck to the ash pub
