Some bloody game this!!! Chelsea 2 up, United now 3-2 up! Both teams just going at it like the clappers. Proper end-to-end football.

    4-3 to Chelsea after being 3-2 down after 90 + 8 minutes.

Do we trust Southgate.....Look at Foden last night with his hat trick. Palmer tonight with his. Bellingham. Kane. Saka.

Surely we can win a major trophy and apart from here in England there is no better place than Germany....

Funnily enough, before his penalty I thought he looked way off it, lots of sloppy passes but he was so cool taking that penalty the way he did so late in the game and after the time it took to review. Fair play to him

8 out of 8 penalties scored for Chelsea in the premier league. At the side of Kane & Toney, we have some seriously good penalty takers now (it seems!)... And yes I know Kane missed against France but you'd still back him easily.

Gets in number 10 for England this summer. Superb footballer and won’t be at Chelsea long. Play Kane up top, Rice and Bellingham in midfield and we’ve won the Euros. If Southgate plays two capable wingers which we’ve got, he’ll make history. Unfortunately, he’s a clown.

    Jarrod Bowen
    James Maddison
    Jack Grealish
    Anthony Gordon
    Marcus Rashford

Along with Saka Bellingham Foden Palmer.

    Cannot pick them all.

Plus Kane Watkins and maybe Toney.

    That's 12 players.

Some of those attacking midfielders are going to be disappointed.

If only we had one more centre back as good as Stones. Someone capable of playing a high line...

I only watched the 2nd half in truth but certainly wouldn't have said he was amazing

With Eze, Bynoe-Gittens, Harvey Elliott all up and coming too, amongst others.

Lewis Miley, Mainoo, Wharton coming up in midfield behind them. Future looks very bright.

Not wrong there fella. I would take Bowen out of the five you mentioned. He's been brilliant the past couple of seasons. He's got a chance to win a European trophy two seasons in a row, which even Hammers greats like Bobby Moore couldn't do. He's on course to be the first West Ham player to score twenty league goals since Tony Cottee. Some record for a guy not playing in one of the biggest PL teams.

Centre half is a big worry.

    Stones + ?

    Maguire
    Dunk
    Tomori
    Guehi (injured)
    Braithwaite
    Gomez
    Dier
    Mings (injured)
    Konsa
    White (unavailable)

Doesn't fill me with confidence in that position.

Aye that's the problem mate. Could throw Colwill & Konsa in, but Konsa has played RB all season & Colwill has played LB a lot, but hasn't been great for Chelsea in the centre, he's certainly not found his Brighton form. I like Tomori, he's got good physical attributes, but hasn't had a proper run in with England. Think Dunk has been brilliant for Brighton, didn't think he'd do as well as he has in Prem for them but I don't think he's good enough. Branthwaite has looked really good for Everton, big, strong, good on the ball - I think long term it will be him. Whether or not he's the one for the upcoming tournament is the question. Gomez had a good season for Liverpool, played left, right and centre half. Personally, I'd rather have Max Kilman in as it stands over Dunk, Guehi, Gomez as he's been fantastic for Wolves... But we all know it's going to be Maguire regardless of form or playing time - and it's a myth that he's never made mistakes for England, he's been decent for us but has certainly made errors. I think the goalkeeper may be another issue too, out of them all I think Ramsdale is the best, especially with his feet, but think Southgate will stick to his man.

Southgate is too blindedly loyal with some players which could be our undoing in the summer.

Pickford is still the best option in goal followed by Ramsdale yet after that it's a concern.

    right back

    Walker still our best option
    Alexander-Arnold out injured
    Tripper now 33
    Dan James injured
    Lewis

    left back

    Chilwell
    Shaw injured
    can't think of anyone else.

    Centre midfield

    Rice is a shoe in
Mainoo coming through at the right time
    Gallagher steady enough
    Henderson will still be selected

and other positions have been discussed.

Overall my concern is defence especially centre half and left back.

Just got to be careful not to try & squeeze too many in & upset the balance of the team.

Can’t be going all out attack & leaving Maguire & whoever plays left back exposed.

I’d be playing someone good at retaining possession alongside Rice. Trent, Barkley or Mainoo are the obvious ones for me.

Saka, Bellingham & Foden behind Kane.

Palmer, Gordon, Rashford, Grealish, Bowen or whoever he picks as back ups will get plenty of chances off the bench to prove their worth.
