Not worth watching tonight between two sides I find boring to watch. Skybet on their request a bet section for this match has Chelsea a goal and four corners at 1/2. Should be an easy 50% profit on stake. Surprised the odds are so generous with Man United travelling down with all four strikers missing (Ibra banned, Rooney/Martial injured, Rashford ill) and Lingard too. Fellani expected to play up front too should mean Chelsea with their drab tippy tappy style will dominate posession.
Chelsea aren't tippy tappy. The wingbacks fly forward and Hazard is one of the most direct players in world football. Matic sits whilst Kante is ferocious in his hunting for the ball. Costa is all action upfront and Victor Moses is also in great form. Really good all round team and the manager also has great passion. Certainly not tippy tappy. Organised and direct with plenty of purpose to their play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What they do obviously works to be doing so well, but I don't find them entertaining. I'm not watching tonight but looking at the stats they have two thirds of the ball but only one goal and two shots on target despite playing ten men for the last half isn't what I call entertaining.
Chelsea are excellent to watch, what the stats won't say is that they really have battered Man U apart from 1 Rashford chance.
fair enough, but i thought Chelsea were excellent tonight. Should've scored more. And the sending off was always going to mean united would sit back and concede posession. And they have been anything but tippy tappy the majority of the season. Fair play to man u as well, think the sending off ruined the match but they still made a game of it. It was harsh but constant fouling also spoils the game, Every time Hazard got the ball he was taken out, Ref gives Man U a lecture and tells the captain that next time he will get his cards out. 10 seconds later Hazard gets taken out again. Dont see the ref had much choice - any other player was going to get a yellow. Herrera already had one so was particularly stupid. Maybe some refs would have given a last final warning but Herrara had only himself to blame
I don't understand how anyone (neutrals that is) could say that they enjoyed watching that. It was a war of attrition both on the pitch and on the touchline with the Chelsea manager in particular looking like he wanted to kill somebody nearly every time they focused on his hate filled face. The players were worse and the snarling intimidation of the ref every time they didn't like a decision was disgusting to watch. The ref should have used the letter of the law and booked every one of them for that behaviour. Whether it would have stopped them - who knows? Games need to be played seven a side to get the message across. We all know that officials can be shockingly incompetent but there is no excuse for surrounding him like that. Every time I see that moron Diego Costa play I want him sent off. His cheating and dirty play has no place on a football pitch but he gets away with it time after time. A truly repulsive character, in my book. It was awful to watch and I found myself hitting the +30 seconds button on my remote often. I wanted to know the result but couldn't wait to get out of there. I wish football matches could be played like rugby union - total respect for the referee and get on with the game even if someone is being treated for injury.
