It will be my first live Reds game this Saturday, after the Exeter fiasco. I have seen the occasional game at Whaddon Road this season and we really ought to be able to beat them. They typically play 3-5-2, which will match our line-up. They have a big back three, but fairly static, so a forward with pace has a good chance against them, especially on a fast counter-attack. They switch round the midfield five, but their wing backs are key and at least one of the middle three has a more attacking role. In my opinion, they have just two players capable of hurting us - one is Ryan Broom, who may play attacking midfield, or wing-back. All action dynamo of a player with pace and good close control skills. Duff had him in his time at Cheltenham, so should have a plan to negate him, but they may switch him between midfield and wing-back during the game. The other to watch is Alfie May, of course, who doesn't need much more than half a chance to pounce. Good finisher, but seems to have mislaid his shooting boots of late. Their passing game isn't great and we should be able to disrupt it with constant pressing. When Derby did this, the Cheltenham midfield just fell apart and looked hopeless. Couldn't keep the ball for more than two, or three passes. If we press, negate Broom and May and play to our strengths, especially on the fast break, we should win. If we let them find their game in midfield, or let Broom and May have too much room, we might struggle for a result. COYR
