Unless there is a distinct improvement in the teams performance on Sunday we could well be a victim of a FA Cup Giant Killing act. The last 2 games have been Awful
I think, regardless of your current standard of football, it will take some doing to beat you lot. We are inconsistent, though are playing the best football I've seen watching Chester, and the level of fitness will be a massive factor. Close us down fast and we struggle a bit. Cannot wait now.
Welcome to suicide watch on the Barnsley Bulletin Board... In fairness, it's a good time to be playing us - if you get the first goal it could be 'interesting'. You'll be pleased to know we don't care for that closing down game.
Hope you all enjoy the day. We haven't played this last couple of games, so it's probably a good time to play us, but a couple of words of warning: A lot of what you read on here is way over the top, bordering on mental. Actually, properly mental. We drew last night, in a local derby, our top goal scorer was out injured, our captain suspended and our left back pulled up in the warm up which meant we handed a debut to a young lad a lot of us hadn't even heard of until yesterday evening. If you didn't know the score and you read this forum, what would you think was the result? A 6 or 7 nil defeat? Sounds like it doesn't it. The last time we played lower league opposition, just 3 and a half weeks ago, we won 5-0 at a canter and for the second half the opposition barely got a kick of the ball. Doesn't mean that will happen again, in a two horse race both sides have a chance, but we have some excellent players at our club and for all the moaning we've lost just two games in the last 7, 4 in the last 12. Obviously, I hope Barnsley win, but I'd still like to wish you all the best for Sunday and I hope the two teams give a good account of themselves and produce an entertaining game.
