Thats very good, It's just a shame its only took you 5 days to come up with it.

Hassel's been brilliant this season. Very unlucky with injuries, Get over it.

I wouldn’t pick him to play in a Nelson league team.

How he is making a living playing football is astonishing

    Correct.

Hassell has looked better this season and I for one would select him as first choice fullback.

Gives us better aerial defensive capabilities.

    Scored a belter vs scunny.

Maybe you said too much when he wasn't playing well at the start of last season, and your the kind of lad that wont change your opinion. By the way, Do you think he's the same player that started last season?

    RE: Correct.

I accept that Hassell has looked better this season, but come could he have been any worse that last year.

However, the fact is he still gives the ball any on regular basis. He still get caught out of position a terrific number of times during a game and often goes steaming in at 100 miles an hour totally misjudging the situation missing both ball and man leaving a massive void behind him.

RE: Who have we got that offers more in that position then?

Well Dale Tonge is a midfield player but has performed quite well in the position. Austin does a half decent job but is better on the other side of the pitch. Therefore, I consider we need to procure the services of another player.

I do consider that we now have the makings of a quality squad which has strength in depth bit Mr Hassell is the weak link in the squad.

Hassell is a good centre back

But at right back he gets dragged inside too easily or will just go wandering up the pitch or into the middle leaving his man with yards of space.

I would suggest that Tonge should be the first choice right back, austin the first choice left back and then the centre backs would be Hassell and Carbon or Reid.

With a full squad to pick from I think I would go for this line up

    Colgan

    Tonge - Hassell - Carbon - Austin

    Shuker - Kell - Mcphail - Devaney

    Wright - Hayes
