Is that the same Dave Alllen from Wednesday?

The very same, yes. Which probably explains a lot.

It sure does, how can people like that remain in football?

Is Peter Ridsdale still in football?

The problem is it will be teams like Chesterfield who are punished more than the 'bigger' clubs who have bigger debts.

That's what makes me so mad about the mire we are in. We appear (although I obviously don't know the figures) to be sticking to the rules, but we have to compete with teams like Bolton with their £162million debt or whatever it is. We've no chance unless the rules are enforced. With points deductions, not fines. The clubs that get into debt will laugh themselves silly if they get fined. Time for a beer I think......

Typical, he wants tax payer subsidies or Wealthfare, based on a pathetic and weak argument he makes. The Council would make a far better return if the £900k was used to build social housing in the area. As if Tesco needed a reason like a football club to build another store :(
