Seem to be deep in the ****. Dave Allen has resigned as a director and their debts this season will rise to £10 million. Without Allen's ongoing support they will run out of money in November.
They should have let my daughter use the toilet in first game of last season instead of having to beg and then be escorted by a stranger into the home stand. I will resent that club for that day forever
Yes I don't think we ever did get an appology from Chesterfield for treating a couple of thousand of us like ****. Keeping people in their seats so not even allowing them for a while to go into the concourse to use the toilets brought them hassle they could have avoided with some common sense. The club is skint yet can seemingly afford to have thousands of empty seats in home ends when away followings sell out easily. They should be able to manage their ground better so away teams can get more tickets. Chesterfield make more money and more away fans can fill empty seats. Win/win. Look at sunday they couldn't sell out for Blunts but had more tickets been offered they would have been sold.
Wonder what they are paying Ched a week, since he came off bread and water, it'll be like hitting lottery for him.
Reports at the time said his one year contract was worth two grand a week. Peanuts compared to his Blunts days but still not to be sniffed at. If Chesterfield were any good at design and planning they wouldn't be losing as much money as they would make more from away followings. It would surely annoy any business owner that's losing lots of money and millions in debt when you see so many empty seats that could have easily been sold to the opposition. If they didn't sell home tickets for both corners by the away goal the 2,500 given (2k behind the goal and 500 on the side) could easily be nearer 4,000 which Blunts would sell out for them and others like Bradford would bring more for.
It's a fair point but the sums you are talking about won't make that much of a difference and presumably Allen could have done something about it unless they cannot get permission to change the segregation.
In league one the away followings are poor at best our away end is a decent size and only the blunts and preston and bradford brought over 2k in the 2 season's we were in league one. Chesterfield have gone from play off semi finalists 18 months ago to then sell all their best players doyle,Darikwa, morsey, ect ect when you sell all your best players and still end up 9million in debt something is seriously wrong.
