I just heard on the news that a former Chelsea player was offered vast sums of money from Chelsea to keep quiet over an alleged assault by a club employee who has since died.

Surely if the bribery by Chelsea can be proved then what punishment should Chelsea get. Expulsion from the league or a petty fine?

I'm secretly hoping that this sex scandal in football where clubs deliberately ignored what was going on makes SKY sees fit to withdraw all sponsorship from football.

    Celtic beware. Big Jock Knew.

As much as I hate to admit it (really not a fan of Chelsea in any way), I don't see how they can punish the current club/owners for something that happened 40 years ago. Unless of course it opens the path for retrospective punishment of Arsenal for bribery during the vote for promotion to division in 1918 or so...

The FA are probably more worried about sponsors running for the hills than they are about the victims.

They agreed that with him in 2014, although they've since waived the secrecy clause.
