Could be a bit of a snowflake post...sorry. BUT I've seen first hand the work funded by them within a twenty mile radius of our football club's ground. It is truly staggering. Please feel free to donate. It's been going 40 years so there's a kind of symmetry in donating £40. If you can't that's ok, give what you can. BUT please know that they spend money on our doorstep and it means a lot. I give to the barnsley hospice but these guys are the next in line, a hard year for them this year so please think about them
Sent little un to school with our donation, great cause. Sad in this day and age 40 years later we still to do this. If only we got after the offshore robber barons!
Completely agree. I'm involved in investigating the "money machine". Simple law. On a tax return you have to declare every overseas and off-shore account you have and its a cri9minal offence if you don't. It actually costs around £3,000k per year basic to have an off-shore account. So why run one?? simple answer ....cos its a tax scam. Why hasn't the successive governments stopped this ****? simple cos as WikiLeaks showed, right up to the PM has one....and don't get all labour on me...they had them too
If the country would just vote to the left a bit more often it might have happened. Like at the last election.
I'm not disputing that. I just think at the last two elections, the country has had a chance of putting this (And many other) things right, but other issues such as Brexit were deemed more important.
Lewis Hamilton's private jet has an off shore account in the Cayman Islands. Mrs Brown's daughter is at it. Isn't Rashford at it too? What makes me laugh is how altruistic these celebs are with other people's money.
Yes, they can afford to be. I don't think they are all as altruistic as they make out either. Seeing as I posted about how great children in need is (trust me it is) I seem to recall that "saint" Terry Wogan was dropped in the last year he was alive because he demanded £10,000 for presenting it.
I would imagine when you earn way too much money to ever spend that you leave an accountant to sort tax affairs/ invest etc. Not making excuses , to me no one should have that level of money in the first place but I could imagine Rashford as a young lad maybe doesn't actually know? Hopefully with the spotlight on him he can at least instruct his accountant to invest in ethical schemes etc. I know the likes of Pep , Klopp are doing the 1% thing to charity.
Rashford pays tax on 5.7k a year. Rest is all tax free directors loans and investments... He'll know exactly where is 10m a year plus is going.
Of all the horrible, odious people in the world right now, Marcus Rashford is the one to come in for criticism for the work he's done to try and help hungry children. What an evil, selfish bastad he is(!)
