Aye was a quality performance, fully deserved over an under-par Taylor. Great tournament so far and it keeps getting better.
Taylor past his best? The same Taylor who in the past 4 months has been winning everything in sight, except that blip at Doncaster in the players championship. dont think people are giving Chisnall enough credit, people forget that he has been in a world final so he is hardly a novice.
Always a delight to see paronising Phillip lose. Too mardy to give an interview and be gracious in defeat. Said it all when Dave Clark mentioned they tried to get him for an interview.
Taylor almost admitted he was past his best. Eye sight going, concentration levels not there and even the lights on stage getting to him. So yes he is past his best and has been for over 12 months.
how can he be past his best when he has still been dominating the game in the past few months? he just lost a game to the better player, he still averaged over 100 but just put under pressure on his doubles which he failed to hit, proving he is human. As for the comment above, taylor did give an interview and is usually very gracious in defeat.
taylor is OBVIOUSLY past his best. Otherwise he would have wiped the 'not very articulate' chizzy off the board. Taylor did not lose to clowns like chizzy at his best. simplez hope this helps
Taylor is not finished yet Longer matches in World Championship are more of a physical challenge and marriage break up cannot help.
PAST HIS BEST I don't think so, darts is one of them sports that you can see exactly how someone as performed over the years due to averages , taking a look over the record books shows that less then 2 months ago he averaged over 109 with 3 darts playing 20 legs against Gary Anderson in the Grand Slam of darts Final, the best he's ever played in his life, that's right just 2 months ago, so to say he's past his best is wrong in my eyes, what's happing is over the past 20 years Taylor as been averaging between 99 and 102 leg on leg match by match year in year out, and them averages have been head and shoulders above the rest, with the odd players hitting them dizzy hight's once every blue moon, and knocking him out more often then not in finals, now what's happened is 9 or 10 players are capable of hitting them dizzy hight's on a more consistent basis, in defeat yesterday he averaged over a ton, up until the last couple of years he was winning everything in sight throwing like that, i still think he's throwing as well and as consistent as he ever as, its just the fact that the standards he set over the years are now being met by the other players and they are stating to do it consistently,
no offence NM but...your views / tips on darts rival thereev's recent efforts on the footy.......shameful in fact!!! hope this helps. P.S. Wade now has to win the thing to get one of your dismal tips up.... and even if he does...you still show a loss.... dreadful! remember my A Lewis tip tho!!
inside the last 12 months he's recorded some of the best averages he's every hit 17th November 2011 Played 13 legs against Wez Newton and averaged 112.37 Winning 10-3 19th November 2011 Played 23 legs against Paul Nicholson and averaged 104.46 winning 16-7 20th november 2011 Played 25 legs against A Lewis and averaged 107.76 winning 16-9 20th November 2011 Played 20 legs against Gary Anderson and averaged 109.04 winning 16-4
last night.............wattered to Chizzy..... chizzy who to most people!! nah....awesome champ...but on the slide Mr NM now
oh dear after timing....even thereev does not resort to aftertiming. hope this helps A Lewis on tonight...tune in to watch the world champ!!
He gave one eventually but not straight away like they were after. I will say he sounded genuinely gracious this time around, but it makes a change to his usual.
