Michael Chopra has thanked fellow Cardiff City recruit Stephen McPhail for helping him start his Bluebirds career with a bang. Former Newcastle striker Chopra, 22, has bagged four goals already on the pre-season tour to North America. Chopra grabbed two more in the win over China U20 on Friday and says midfielder McPhail's passing has been a key part. "I just need to look at him and I know where he's going to put the ball," Chopra told the Cardiff website. McPhail has joined Cardiff from Barnsley, where Chopra played on loan in the 2004/5 season. And the young Geordie says the Tykes understanding he developed with McPhail that year will stand Cardiff in good stead. "He created most of my goals at Barnsley, his passing ability is unbelievable," Chopra added. "When you've got a player like that, who can put the ball there, you know you can score goals." Cardiff finish their tour on Sunday night with a match against Vancouver Whitecaps.
