we wouldnt need chopra If the manager would use his brain and give nardiello 3 games in a row for a change instead of dropping him straight away when he doesnt score whilst at the same time giving richards 4 months to start playing well and playing conlon every game for the first three months despite being crap.
If we dont go up this season then it has got to be down to bad management pure and simple. Letting the most influential midfielder we've got go without a replacement, a lack of set piece tactical management, a lack of ability to react to changes during matches and playing the wrong strikers and/or the tactics for the strikers on the pitch have cost us dear.

We haven't been good at defending set pieces for 10 years. I agree about Conlon though , but wasnt Nardiello injured until November.
RE: We haven't been good at defending set pieces for 10 years. Different players and a different manager, you cant just say that it is ok because we were crap at them before.
I cant remember if he was injured actually, we definetly had a replacement striker on the bench that was 10 times better than conlon. was that nardiello?

it would appear he was injured quite a lot. jarman was the player on te bench that ritchie wouldnt give a start to
you are without a shadow of a doubt THE most... ...negative poster on this board. if we don't go up its down to **** management? how about it being down to good management that were up there in the first place? ffs
do you not think it is down to poor management then? wasn't it the manager that allowed burns to be sold? isnt it the gaffer that constantly appears to pick the wrong strikers? is it not him stood in the dugout that stands arms folded whilst we throw away a 1 nil lead or get played off the park most games?
correct me if i'm wrong but isnt it rick holdens boss that decides to keep taking corners to the front post despite having little luck from it all season (along with bringing everyone back to defend set plays, using one tactic from throw-ins, taking the same free kick every time etc)?
then again it could be my fault that we are in the process of throwing the season away I suppose. I have a lot of say in how we perform you know.

i never said it was down to you, i never disagreed with your statement and i never said he made all the right decisions. but to say that if we don't go up is down to bad management is beyond me. we've had a good season to get where we are now. now that isn't me being happy with a playoff spot, thats me being realistic. each team has a bad run during a year. we are in ours right now. just a bit of faith wouldn't go amiss. ritchie has done a good job, that for one you cannot dispute. and for the burns issue its been debated before, keep an unhappy player? force him to play? would never have worked. ritchie, it seems, never had a choice in the matter.
