...i know its been discussed on here before but i have just been away for a weeks hol with a Cardiff fan and Barker picked up player of the year award. My mate Stevo says he was head and shoulders above everyone for the award and is "an awesome defender"

Shame we sold him when we did. When he first came into the team he was a pile of knackers but I thought the season we sold him he was coming on a bit.

    Not like us is it?

Hate to sound smug, but I said so when we sold him. Big mistake.

Not bad for a player who was refusing to play for them at the start of the season!!!..

He was on load at Stoke. He wouldn’t play for Cardiff as the promised pay rise failed to materialise

    Aye.

You'd think we'd learn our lesson and get behind emergent players wouldn't you?

    To be fair..

I think it was more that we had to sell him in a last ditch attempt by the former former former board (J Dennis B Taylor & Co) to balance the books

Sadly for them we sold him to Cardiff, who never paid for him

It was a bit of a slack link.

I was referring to those who wouldn't get behind Chris Barker when he was where Williams is now.

    Oh okay...

I alus thought he was okay..if lacking in a little pace..certainly not the worst full back in recent times...Paul Gibbs anyone?

    no need

    to mention him was there.

Steve bloody Parkin. Absolutely clueless, changing teams for changing's sake, didn't like players with flair, prefered hoofers like Gibbs, Jones, Bedeau and Naylor.

Worst Barnsley side of the last 25 years.

    So...

how can you do it and BFC can't

Is it owt to do with the fact that AFCB might care about people who turn up and BFC don't?

Where do you serve it from and has anyone from Oakwell ever seen it? Good Food at Good Prices?...An alien concept at Oakwell...
