I will always, always give a player time to settle into a new club, and the opportunity to show what they can do. However, I've seen Dagnall three times now, and I honestly can't see him getting any better. I hope I'm wrong. Credit where credit is due, the lad runs his socks off, however, at Championship level - it's not enough. Far from it. His he a striker? An attacking midfielder? I'm not sure. I was of the opinion that he was a striker, but I've failed to see anything that comes close to making a believer out of me. What I am sure of however, from what I've seen is that he has offered little to nothing in the final third in the games that he has featured. His work effort and attitude is admirable, but, like I said - it's not enough. Again, I'll give the lad time, but I just can't see him adapting.
The Poet often talks b******s,(like we all can)unfortunately I agree 100% in this case.....on what I've seen so far.
Cart horse. Give me Andy Gray any day, season ticket money, shove it up your arse Don rather take the kids on holiday especially when you have that doubled chinned ***** giving interviews after the game. Good job your in football Keith otherwise you'd be unemployed. Sithi
Nearly 12 months on and I'm afraid to say that my opinion hasn't changed. It's a shame, because he always puts a shift in, but the fact of the matter is, he just isn't good enough.
I get it! That's Poet's way of saying he likes Dagnall and thinks he should be the first name on the team sheet!
2nd half against Peterborough he was excellent, hit the post with a 20 yarder and had a shot blocked after a mazy dribble in the penalty box. Allied to a fantastic work-rate; he was so unlucky that day. If only he could produce that form regularly; maybe one goal would make a difference.
Seen him play once since then, on't telly against Brum and that's probably his best game. We've had worse, he gives 100%. The Don can still stick his ST money up his arse though.
My MoM that day, in hindsight if we had played Harewood instead of Davies we may have seen a different result.
Hit the woodwork 5 times this season....I don't know if that makes him close to being a striker or not though
HEs a player that might not score himself but he helps others score. At London road he was very very good in second half.
