Re: Rcuk From a Wednesday fan in response to me asking if he's any good: 'No. Well, yes. Depends what you're looking for. He's strong and holds it up well but isn't a goalscorer.' Foil for Davies? Although he sounds like Gray so I don't know why we need him on loan now. Maybe as a cheaper version of Gray for next year.
If we sign him in the summer, then fine Keith Hill is the manager and he can sign who he wants. But I don't want him on loan. I hate having so many loan players. 1 or 2 in a season is too many for me. I didn't like it when Robins signed so many loan players and I don't like it now that Hill is doing the same.
Re: If we sign him in the summer, then fine I agree. But I think we've more chance of signing the players on loan we've got now in the Summer than any we had before. Button wouldn't be here if Preece wasn't injured Tonge wouldn't be here if Butterfield wasn't injured Collins is a permanent signing in all but name So only Nouble & Smith are here really as 'proper' loans for me. I dunno, I know what am trying to say.
I'd scrap the loan system Completely. Proper emergency loans would allowed, say if all three of your keepers contracted the plague, but that's it. I think it would stop Premier League teams stockpiling players. It would also make players think long and hard about who they sign for and their chances of first team appearances. And while I've got all this power I'd also have all Tories shot.
Re: I'd scrap the loan system Agree entirely. On all points. No loans = more permanent transfers = lower prices and money floating around No loans = more chance for younger players No Tories = a better World.
Re: I'd scrap the loan system If it's not in poor taste, I think I could condone a career ending tackle on David Cameron. I'd even get Roy Keane out of retirement to perform the honours. I'm not barmy about loan signings either, unless it's Michael Owen or something to get excited about.
Didn't he turn us down to go to the Wendies Last january? or in the summer? can't remember when they signed him to be honest.
Re: Didn't he turn us down to go to the Wendies No. We wanted to sign him for nowt at the end of his contract, Wednesday put a cash bid in and signed him in the Summer.
