Simon Davey won't pick him because he does'nt look right in training, complaits are that we have spent 200k+ on him and he does'nt play.
Well maybe we have to back the manager he sees him every day and should know if he is putting his all in in training. Take a look at Rob Earnshaw at Derby, they spend 3.5million on him, Billy Davis did'nt play him, 3 starts to date and Paul Jewell comes out today and suggests Earnshaw must put a shift in before he picks him. How would we feel if we had a striker thats cost over 1 million pounds per game and not performing

 

same bloke that scores for fun in reserves?

I dont care about Derby County Strikers that are not getting a game, only as to why Christensen is not even getting on the bench , while Missfit and oddjob are playing.

 

What 5 goals and 3 of those in one game in early November, hardly scoring for fun

 

I agree about Missfit and Oddjob but i don't understand the clammer for Christensen when he is hardly pulling up trees in the reserves

 

and odegay gets how many goals in how many starts?

 

Then maybe neither should be playing, sell them both and sign a Hungary and Proven striker, sorry we tried that with Stan and Missfit

 

we stuck wth what with we got.i just can't understand why odegay gets a start every week when we've got an untried untested striker on the bench.

i wonder if some of the players not getting a game aren't Davey's signings and he is trying to prove a point that he picks the team and the squad because we seem to have too many not getting a game when we are in this rut

 

Mate, your completely missing the point.

The problem is every striker on the books except KC has been given a chance to prove they are worthy of a place in the 1st team and yet they have failed to deliver.

I couldn't give two hoots what anyone does in training. Its what they do in the 1st team for 90 minutes a week that counts - and Kim hasn't been given a go.

Do you stick with OJ or try something else? Currently Kim is the only option.

 

i think it appears to be that davey is determined to prove he's unearthed yet another hidden gem no matter what the cost.trouble is,time is running out.odegay is never ever gonna be a prolific striker at any level

 

Fair point but if he can't hack it in training what makes you think he'll come good in a match or do we trust Davey in what he sees

I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is why Davey spent so much money on him in the first place. You may argue that he didn't know what Christensen would be like in training, but I'd say Davey should have made damn sure he was the right kind of player before he shelled out for him. Whatever the reason, Christensen has been a complete waste of time and money, but the fault lies squarely with Davey.

 

As i said in an earlier post did he really sign he or was he some else's choice and Davey backed up with a decent run up to Christmas feels he has the strength not to play him to prove a point or just simply he is not fit enough to play at this level just yet

 

There has been many a top class player who didnt train well.

All the other options have failed to hack in the 1st team. There is no reason not to give him a go.

 

Are you really suggesting Mr Gordon Somebody else signed him? I know its late, but you cant surely think that?
