My uncle (a West Ham fan) mailed me to say he was "gobsmacked" that the Sunday papers had Dailly as Southampton's best player. Got me thinking, this isn't the only time he's been on the wrong side of a big result against us. It certainly seems a bit rich him saying this: "Obviously it was really disappointing," Dailly revealed. "We did everything second half and in the first half played some great stuff and created loads of chances. We kept going the whole game and got an equaliser - then amazingly managed to throw it away right at the death. The boys have said that's been happening quite regularly and it's a challenge for me to stop that happening." in light of this: "Barnsley 5 Blackburn 1 ... Barnsley kept coming at Rovers and were tearing them apart all over the pitch so it was no surprise when Shipperley pounced as Christian Dailly took too long in his own area, allowing the striker to coolly slot in the third before the half hour." I remember that dithering very well. But I'm sure he'll sort them out. Unless they have to play us again.
