I know that this has been commented on lots, but how much do we actually get up front?

Although the headline states we get well over £1m, the first line of the report (online version anyway) contradicts that with the statement 'expect to pick up over £1m'.

This to me seems to imply that we will only get over the magical £1m IF the sell on clauses are realised in full (the clauses are included in the fee being quoted by the Chron and not in addition to the 'well over £1m') and therefore he could have gone for a lot less upfront.

All comments I seem to read on this site to me seems to imply that the posters appear to believe we'll get over £1m up front with clauses to increase this figure when infact we might only have got the usual £500k upfront.

Apologies if this has been mentioned in another thread that I have missed.
