    Maybe because

A future Premiership star players is currently better than a future Championship star player?

    RE: Maybe because

Just basing it on former players we got from premiership clubs like Turnbull, Jones, Eckersley, Walters etc that did crap. It doesn't always look out and there's been many more cases in recent years for using our own youngsters. At the moment i'm struggling to see the worth of the academy and have felt like this for the past few years.
