Sold more than 2,500 Season tickets up from 800 at this stage last year. Stan wants to stay but Davey wants a new striker and everyone we have been linked with north of the border we ARE NOT interested in. Thats what l basically read whilst scanning through it this morning stuck in traffic.
Bums on seats EasyJet seats that is. Everyones on holiday. Everyones waiting to see who we sign. Everyones waiting for the new kit to come out. Everyones skint cos the fuel price is high. Poorly supported club. FACT.
RE: 'marketing' cures all known ills. Not really, no. Good marketing might help them shift a few extra tickets though.
Value judgements Sit at home watching Jeff and the boys whilst complaining "Chuffin Tarn nivver sign nubdi any good"
RE: hehe I work in marketing, I'd have to defend it really. It's just a bit annoying to see it done badly. If it was done well no-one would really be talking about it.
RE: hehe They'd need decent staff then. Not seen much from them so far, and BFC seem to see marketing as selling ad space and nothing more.
800 UP A 47% rise FFS
Unless he means we're 1700 up on this stage last year in which case the increase is over 200%.

RE: hehe I think that's a bit unfair on the individuals concerned. We have to bear in mind the constraints they were operating under over recent years. If they are given a free-er reign and don't deliver then maybe questions need to be asked.
Think it means we sold 800 this time last year not 800 up... but the papers in the car now, dinner time reading otherwise l would get nothing done reading all the divorces, court appearances and heroin related crimes.
Depends how we look at it... 800 sold this time last year, by the start of the season 6,500 - 7,000 season ticket holders. 2,500 sold at this point, by the start of the season ?????. Is our busiest sales month July?
RE: 2,500 after prices reduced and increased marketing ??? Adult prices reduced by 44 pence a game and advertising not exactly on television like Huddersfield have. It's no surprise to me that sales haven't risen that much. Season tickets for under 11s is a good start, but i'm sure many are waiting to see a few signings first to see the intent by the board to be nearer mid table next season. Also many will renew same time as the new shirt comes out to save two visits to the ground.
