...we're looking to appoint from within or a club legend. If it's from within then it has to be Flitcroft, no matter what many on hear think of him. With all due respect, please not Ronnie Branson. If it's a club legend I'd like us to gamble on Hignett or Darren Moore.
And he can fill in as goalie when we fail to agree a contract with Steele and Alnwick is suspended for knocking someone's lights out in an off-the-ball incident.
Prediction - we win tomorrow it's Flitcroft. We lose, it's Moore. He won't make the same mistake RE Davey and Wednesday. If it was definitely Flitcroft's he'd have had it by now.
Are the insiders or legends adept at getting a team from bottom of the league to safe from relegation ? Seems to be passing them by that we are adrift, minus striker and still conceding aplenty. Still, get behind em and that.
Does Darren Moore count as a legend? I loved Daz when he was at the club before but maybe he doesn't quite ft into that category. He's been a legend everywhere else he's been mind.
The article in the Yorkshire Post states that Flitcroft has urged the club to appoint a new manager quickly "even though he KNOWS it won't be him." That doesn't sound as if he's under consideration.
It also says we're looking to appoint someone with experience and names Megson and Blackwell. Both articles contradict each other. I'm not sure either if Moore would count as a club legend, he's not experienced either.
The Chronicle know naff all, the term 'understands' seems to be used whenever something is an opinion or hear say
Flit croft needs a medal. To do what he is doing for the Reds is a mark of his calibre. If I was Cryne I would bite the bullet and said get on with it lad the jobs yours. He knows what is wanted and who is wanted on playing side, and would hit the ground running. As far as the Chronicle, they know less than us, they read this forum for their news and ideas. If there was anyone on the list who the board thought was better they would be in place now. They are struggling with the Calibre of applicant. On the bright side they say they will not be deterred in getting what they want. Hope so and hope they don't give up and appoint some of the Legends mentioned on here.
Yeah if we are after a club legend Darren Moore can't be in the running as he's not one of our legends. Good player for us, very good playing career elsewhere but not a legend.
The same Chronice that told us all that SOD wouldn't take the job..... yeah, they're always wrong. Higgy, as much as I'd love it, won't get it. I doubt Sidekick will get it. So you're looking at Moore, Redders or perhaps my man MEGGO still stands a chance....
I personally don't think S O'D or Butcher applied either, didn't stop that fool Rowing chasing them for over a week. I really don't get why they invite applications, but then make a shortlist of managers including those who haven't applied. Go back to the applicants who want it and give it to the man who's up for a scrap.
