    Anyway of collapsing the threads down to just the heading.

    When you get a topic as long as the banner competition other stuff vanishes very quickly to page 2 etc ...

    I'm essentially far too lazy to scroll onto a 2nd page!

    Change the message format in the top right to flat and press go. Change it permanently in your control panel.

    Flat or threaded. Either in your control panel or actually on the message board.
