Clark has found it very difficult to satisfy the majority of fans with his performances this season, but he's certainly not alone in that.
When we signed him, I remember everyone stating he was a left back, because that's what we needed, and we'd been linked with Tom Pearce.
The Leeds fans said he was more of an attacking midfielder.
The BBS have said he's all sorts of things, but where do we honestly see him fitting into a team, and in what formation?

Left wing. Can beat a man, can cross a ball, but would need a full back behind him. Can’t play anywhere on the right, no point him cutting inside because he can’t shoot.

Far too lightweight to play at this level.

He is the fella that saved us £6m with his winning goal at Brentford.

Left wing back, but not good enough at this level yet. Should have been loaned out to a league 1 club last season.

When we played 4-4-2 at the start of his time here he was the standout player at left back and people were saying he was our next big money transfer. Then struber treated him like **** and he's never been the same since.

Three managers have seen him as a bench warmer the current one sees him as a striker.
To me hes a young lad being hung out to dry by the current manager and the fact he should be a hero for his goal at Brentford makes it even sadder.

Best games I've seen him is link up play at left wing back.

He's more of a left back or left wing back for me better than Ben Williams. Shame the current manager keeps playing him out of position

He is not the only one being hung out to dry by the coach.
Can't ever remember in 50 years a coach at BFC chopping and changing instead of a settled side.

He is the best dribbler in the squad and he can cross a ball.

The issue is we don't play with wingers and he is poor positionally - probably due to being moved about so much.

So the upshot is he doesn't fit in our system, but if a team relies on tricky wingers he may excel, who knows. As ever in football it's about the right fit, for the right manager at the right club.

He’s a really talented footballer who needs to nail down a position.

It feels like he’s a bit soft to be a left back but not quite got the attacking instincts & off the ball running to be a wide forward.

I really wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up released by us & it all clicking in a few seasons & him ripping it up somewhere
