    With a bit more game time, I reckon we might have a proper player on our hands here.

    A few moments early doors where I think he thought he was still playing in the u23s, but you can't fault his confidence.

    Always looking to go forward, and linked up well with the attackers.

    He thinks he is still at the City Academy ground sometimes but when he shakes that out of his system he is going to be a very good player for us. Him and Benson in the middle for me. Palmer can carry on learning from the bench.

    Nervous 1st 10 mind then grew into the game. He'll win balls and can pass, but the guys in front of him need to get separation and show for the ball quicker. Most of our breaks came through him.

    Young Hondermarck didn't seem fazed either, he could be another find.

    Yes, Hondermarck seems much closer to being a first team regular than it first seemed. Once everyone's back, we'll have a bit of depth to the squad.

    Bit sloppy at times but when things came off for him he looked good. The more proper Football he gets to play, the better he will get.

    He's got a bit of a Tom Huddlestone look about him, quick enough, big muscular frame and can pass. Came on when we were struggling, and wasn't scared of getting stuck in or wanting the ball.

    They are crackers booing a lad because one of their own players got sent off by a ref for showing his studs on a tackle.

    Shaky start but improved quickly as the game went on. Flashes of Ngolo Kante with his positioning and anticipation. I found it slightly amusing when he was trying to keep Schopp back from the melee at the end, David and Goliath.

    After 5 minutes finding pace of the game he was great. Popping up in pockets, driving forward, wanting the ball. Brittain back to right back and Gomes in midfield for saturday.

    I was asking the question about the contract & why he should be benched, as far as I know there have been no contract offers to the lad so why on earth should he be punished for not signing a contract what has not been offered ? the lad has done nothing wrong

    I have praised Romal of late ,but on last nights showing I would be keen to see Gomes in the middle with Benson if fit on Saturday .
    He showed a lot of energy and effort last night and brought some pace going forward from the middle,allowing Woodraw to get further up the field.
