Clearing some duck weed out of the garden pond and found...

    what I think is a little dark coloured newt.
    Never seen one in real life before.
    About 3 inches long, like a tiny lizard... which is what we thought it was.
    I held it in my hand, showed it to my wife.... and then proceeded to drop it !! No harm done though, put it back into the pond. Happy, but shocked, little newt-thing.

    Did it have any green markings on its back?!? My lads got 2 we keep in a tank.

    Did it have a ridge up it's back? If it did, you will have to hand over the deeds to your house. It has more rights than you do! :D
