QPR have signed Rumarn Burrell from Burton Albion. I am thinking that they won't want both Burrell and Tovide as strikers unproven at Championship level, which should increase our chances of signing Tovide, who is the sort of muscular, but pacy centre forward we need to spearhead the 4-3-3. I hope that this one does come off. Tovide is still untested above League Two level, but he is young and would have the capacity to develop and has all the attributes we are missing from the new system. Here's hoping.

So Hamer, Thomas and Tovide would be a good last week before the start of the season. All positions we need to strengthen, but all young players who would need time to develop and progress at League One level (with the exception of Hamer from Lincoln.)

I wouldn't be unhappy with that.we have the Morris and Britain sell on fees plus the tribunal fees for the two academy lads that have gone and all the wages we have freed up so no excuses.

Have we definitely got sell-on clauses for Morris and Brittain? Even if we have, I don't think they would amount to a lot of money. We are rumoured to have sold Morris for £2 million and Brittain for £1.5 million.

Problem is, we never seem to give youngsters enough of a chance or they fail to develop whilst they’re with us. Hopefully can can change with Conor at the helm.
