are we Flitcroft's Leeds Utd? OK, the analogy doesn't stand up to much scrutiny...........perhaps in Keith Hill's head only.
No I can see where you're going with this... Our ageing team have won the title, the f.a. Cup, they've been capped together for England, played at the highest standard in European football, they're stubborn, difficult to motivate, and have nothing left to prove. Along comes a new manager, brilliant in his own right, but a long term critic of the players, the style of play, the previous manager, and of course the club itself. His massive ego on a collision course with some of the biggest names in the sport today. This is just like when Cloughie took over at Leeds all over again. Why didn't our board see this happening?
Or maybe given time we could be their Nottingham Forest; ok so we won't ever win the league or the European cup but they could be successful with us.
Or maybe he is not as good as he thinks he is, but if he is only half as good as he thinks then we should be OK and top twelve easy. But if he is as bad as it looks at the moment, then we will be down by November. I hope to God he proves to be good.
I hope so Mark, i really hope he turns it around. Things are pretty **** right now but it's only three games in and some of the talk on here is just ridiculous. I can't believe some of the insults being thrown at him on here. We're three games in and some are treating him like he's just burnt their house down.
