Why the hell would you want to go and watch your rivals?

Surely they'll just find a mate who supports one of the other clubs, buy the tickets for a fiver and flog them on for a tenner?

I posted on here a few weeks ago about Featherstone Rovers having a similar initiative,

Season tickets holders at any other league or super league clubs can watch fev at a discouted rate.

I posted other initiatives they have had but members on here ignored them and just posted sarcastic comments about not watching fev.

Fact is fev have more than doubled their number of season ticket holders this season without reducing prices and so far attendences have improved.

they also have something simlilar to the fexi ticket you also posted. Fev do a mini season ticket which enables fans to go to any 6 gamesof their choice for the price of 5.

    Re: What are the choices?

Not everyone's the same, some people in south yokshire genuinely want all teams in south yorkshire to do well and would possibly watch another team if their team was away.

You should try not to judge everything on your own views

There is absolutly no harm in such a scheme, as its win win for clubs,

I wasn't aiming at you andy, but out of interest which one of the local clubs would you go and watch?

    Re: What are the choices?

They are struggling a bit this year, so maybe a good time to play them? Fev are going well, I reckon its about time they let them into SuperLeague.

    Re: What are the choices?

    I wouldn't go watch any.

But i wouldn't say its a bad initiative just because I wouldn't watch the other teams.

Like i said i feel there are people who would go watch other teams and i don't think Barnsley need to team up with other clubs in the area. They could just say season ticket holders at all the local clubs watch BFC at a discounted price on production of their ST

Even if just 10 people come and watch, thats 10 seats that would normally be empty.

Never said it was a bad idea, it's just that I don't see any attractive options.

People could go to watch a local team to just watch the opposition.

    Re: What are the choices?

Would have fancied our chances against Widnes. Salford or maybe London, but hopefully we'll give cas a good go

hopefully we will get the next SL license. very professionally run at the moment Fev with the "destination super league" project.

Improving in all areas and even the stadium will be meet SL Criteria this time next year. Main issue is the average 3500 attendances, which is a bit unfair in the league were in where on Fev have a decent away following. 2400 at home to Leigh other Thursday night with a pathetic 100 away fans at most.

    Re: What are the choices?

My 2 step sons are both Rovers fans, one played for the junior side years ago when they lived in Fev. So I get a bit bombarded with them. My oldest son is a Wildcats fan, I have been a couple of times and although I am not that up on all the rules it is very exciting to watch, mostly!

    That'd go down really well

Sheff Utd fans can watch Barnsley cheaper than Barnsley fans.

It's actually quite funny. It'd be worth doing just to read the letters page in The Chronicle. It would make us next to nothing and piss a lot of our fans off in to the bargain. I can actually see us doing it come to think of it. We could combine this initiative with that ballet school we're going to build.

we should offer incentives for other sports

anyone with a wakefield rugby season ticket gets one free ticket to oakwell and vice versa, same for yorks ccc,

I don't think it's too bad an idea

I've watched Rotherham a couple of times when we've either been away or on an international break. It's suprising how involved you get, or maybe that's just me?
