Hmm, that's an interesting one and might be attractive to many, especially those who are enquiring about first half of the season tickets. I'm sure someone quoted the average price of games this season as being £21-£22 here though, so if this scheme had been in place they'd have been cheaper than a season ticket.
It might raise crowds a little in the short term but diversification of revenue streams is the only way forward. Clubs can not rely on the same 10,000 fans to part with more and more money. Utilise your assets and target new markets.
Probable response from the club.... "Bradford City are a much bigger club than ourselves and we couldn't possibly risk an idea like that, we also don't have the staffing levels to implement the idea like League 2 Bradford City, the club are looking at other ideas to take the club forward off the field including the ever increasing figure for the new scoreboard and the possibility of improving the food kiosks and one day we may even have a real social club, like the old one."
Iam not not now and have never been a former chairman of Barnsley football Club and I catagorically refute all allegations. It wasn't Peter Doyle was it ....? Gulp.....
Agree and the club need to know what their forecasted income likely to be by June to budget. Waiting to see who turns up game-by-game is risky.
