    But saying something like that, what difference does it make to anything.
    They could say that at the moment no official approach has been made, so nothing to report.
    So really they are better off saying nothing until there is something to say......

    The club sold Alfie Mawson the night before a local derby. Unless Gaultier has now got massive input or the takeover's been done this morning I wouldn't pin my hopes on the club in any of this.

    I would hope Mr. Cryne has more respect for Hecky than to do that. For me, bottom line is if Hecky himself wants to talk to Sunderland, he should go with our full blessing.
