PA announcer just said they'll be playing the new club song soon. Surely not that abomination to the Daydream Believer tune? Surely not?
I cannot even tell you how cringeworthy that episode was... Whoever came up with that idea wants ******* birching.
RE: I cannot even tell you how cringeworthy that episode was... I didn't know where to put myself. It was horrible. What the **** were they thinking about?
It was bad enough using a song that other clubs have used for years But getting a young lass out of the wildcats to sing it was excruciating.
The fact that it went on for a full 10 minutes made me want to become violently sick so I could be taken away by the St Johns people.
I enjoyed my day with themost uglypeople per capita in the UK between the time of 3pm - 4.45pm. The West stand lower near the Away fans was a freak show on aginormous scale.

Whoever came up with/authorised that 'song' Call them into the office on monday morning and sack them.
It wasn't silent There were quite a few in the Ponty singing the proper Mark McGhee lyrics & not some stupid sanitised version.
It was silent mate From in the ponty you might have heard a few voices but they didn't travel out of the stand so on a whole the stadium was in silence. It's up there with playing you'll never walk alone that match that completly killed the atmosphere
RE: It wasn't silent I think my dad was totally oblivious to it being a 'new version'. He was belting out 'Cheer Up Mark McGhee'with great venom!
Lets Hope We Never Hear It Again It's embarassing pinching a song other teams have used for years. Not very original either.
Well, they were just singing over the top of the record It was embarrassing. Couldn't they have found a backing track - and at least given the girls a chance?
Knew it would be http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=137693&posts=16#M919402 THese things just don't work. And as for the cheerleaders - sorry but no. (Though two fellas made early exits from the pub to (cough) "get food" / "enjoy the atmosphere building"......
Right up there with 'Tina Tyke' - remember when that out with the hand bag etc?. Another piece of genius from the marketing department. It was just awful.
