I'm concerned that season ticket holders I know don't even know who the Chairman is, they said Ben Mansford isn't it ? Why isn't Maurice Watkins standing up to the plate and telling the fans what the strategy is for the club? Why isn't he steering the ship? I truly can't believe that the Chairman isn't being vocal when the Club is in the predicament they find themselves in.
Because he clearly doesn't want to. He pays Ben for that. I don't think the structure is necessarily the issue, it's the decisions that are being made within it.
Surely the Chairman fronts the Club, why isn't he being vocal, I don't understand what his position is if he just sits in the background and says nothing.
His prerogative. The glory seekers , like the dude in charge of Leeds, hog the limelight. Others are happy with having statements read or others represent them. Owner, chairman or whoever - what do you expect to know beyond what you've been told by ******** Ben? There is no more. Moan at what you see on the pitch.
His condition has been well documented. I doubt he wants the stress. If he could sell the club, I've no doubt he would
Does anyone ever see Mr Watkins ? I know there are people in the directors box , but are they actually real people of just shop window dummies?
But who's going to want to buy a club that owns **** all? The land being in the name of him and the council and not the football club will put off potential buyers.
The idea was the land could not be used for anything other than football. It may be that if a suitable buyer comes in, he would sell his share of the the ground as well.
