I couldn't stomach watching the highlights until now by my God. First goal would be embarrassing to concede for a Sunday league side. But goals 2, 3 and 5...an utter disgrace. Their player quite literally just runs through the middle of two of ours for all of them - no challenge, just shepherded through the small gap between the two players. Nothing to do with Lincoln being good, as a 6 year old could run in a straight line through a gap - everything to do with us being inexplicably rubbish. Goal 4 is piss poor keeping from Roberts but given he's saved us many more times than cost us, can let him have the odd howler. I seriously hope this gives everyone on the pitch and sidelines a rocket up the arse.
While highlighting our vulnerability at the back i personally thought Lincoln’s first goal was a brilliantly executed counter attack move.
Powder puff defending for 3 of the goals. Just barged their way through two defenders with minimum contact. I'm sure Pines would have put more beef into it.
Agree. Their midfielder played a long high ball, not out of hope, but because they probably practice it. We'd have trapped it then played four sideways passes until getting robbed and conceding. In fact ....
Was it mcart number 26? He's either got lead in his boots or he didn't realise he needed to get back alot faster for the 1st goal.
