yesterday this was a disgrace. The coaches not being there at 9. The people supposedly in control of the where nowhere to be seen.
Not only was it a disgrace it was dangerous. Thousands of people searching for their coaches, no organisation or instructions whatsoever which resulted in fans and most worryingly, children having to search inbetween coaches arriving and leaving the stadium. shocking. PAOLO
ye well when we finally tracked down a steward to as what was goin on we where told in blunt tterms "if you on a coach above 28 your not goin" because coaches where unable to get into the car park but yet he wa refusin to sort it out and blaming us but we where not told what was happening before people made a mad dash for the coaches. the coaches should have all been there and sorted for 8:30 never mind not gettin there till which is not all down to bfc.
I went with Globe from Courthouse. Scheduled departure 9am.
Arrived at 8.15, all 27 coaches parked up in number order. Everybody went straight to their coach, no fuss no problem.
We left at 8.55 and we weren't the first.
I hear it was well after 10 when the last 'official' coach left.
I still say BFC couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery.

It sounded a right mess, all the coaches should have been at the ground for eight o clock and numbered ready for people arriving like last time we went to Wembley. Im glad i didnt go on them because i would have been really stressed out if my bus hadnt turned up for nine o clock.. (N)
never go on coach with club again after charlton, fooking shambles and that was in october and we only took 2 coaches from oakwell !!! went with outpost to qpr 100 times better.
Nobody Should Ever Go On Official Coaches Ever Again Our club do not deserve the 100k they took from fans for the coaches yesterday. ALL coaches should have been there for 7 or so and in number order. The "volunteer" in charge of keeping us informed was both rude and obnoxious. To think it's people like this guy that represent our bloody club. It's a good job we didn't listen when he said "get back so all the coaches can get in", because if we had, we would have missed the coach, which was parked almost out of the stadium area down the side.
The club needs to issue a statement and apologise Why was there no forward planning? Why was alan bloore stood with the coach numbers in his hand while coaches sat empty? Why was there nobody stopping fans going into that area of the carpark if we werent allowed to? why was the tannoy not used? Why did buses arrive AFTER 9am when we were told to be there for 8am? Why was the clubshop closed? Why were those 'inc charge' rude to customers? Why were we treated like animals? Why was an health and safety issue created by forcing people to back into a corner in a mad crush? Come on barnsley fc/supporters trust. Answer the questions
I got the same response I saw 10 coaches parked up at oakwell from about 8:10am with NO numbers or anything on them. Alan blore was stood talking at this time, why wasnt he putting numbers on coaches to give somebody a bit of a clue what the hell was happening? Could have organised and run it better by myself with no help and that is no lie.
Then for health and safety reasons they should not be allowed to run coaches again They could have killed somebody
We went on the E-on Nat Express free bus. Which turned out to be a Tate's Travel coach. Due to depart 9.15, everyone on and bus full early so we got off just before 9.00am. Small blessing at the end of such a pissy day that we'd paid 'nowt to get theer!!
Why should Alan Bloore be doing it? Is he a paid employee of the club? Where was our llustrious General Manager?
Jokewell Don't Ever Learn From Past Mistakes Apparently we shouldn't have crossed the Police tape at the start of the East Stand. The club shop should have been open for a couple of hours. Well you would think so with over 3,000 potential customers being there ffs. This how I reckon it should have been done........... * Coaches arrive 7-7:30, knowing full well people will be already there. * The first coach to arrive gets number one given, the second coach 2 etc. * Once the coach you need arrives, you can find it really easily and get on it. What not to do......... * Have no forward planning. * Don't shout at the people who have pumped 100k into paying for the coaches. These are your CUSTOMERS.
He shouldn't be but having taken the responsibility on then he should have been able to handle it. If he couldnt he shouldnt have agreed to do it.
The police tape was stupid, I saw people approaching from BOTH sides of it, now which side was cordoned off to pedestrians? The carpark or behind the east stand? To those approaching from beevor court it would be the carpark. shouting and being rude to customers was disgusting. if you can't stand the heat... ps, next time open the east exits, one at the side of the ponty before the police tape, the other at the far end of the east stand carpark. fans can wait under cover and can queue towards the coaches whilst not being able to get run over. It would have created space in the carpark and allowed room to get the coaches in. This took me all of 5 seconds to think of and suggest yesterday. The response I got "you shouldnt be here"
outpost all 16 coaches away for 8am coaches parked and all numberd up by 7.15am waiting for the fans. not the fans waiting for the coaches. watford coach leaving 12.30 14 quid ring gary on 238016 to book.
I Don't Remember Problems When We Last Went To Wembley Maybe they should go by "if it's not broke, don't try to fix it". He had everyone stay back and yet down the bottom end, there were little kids stood by coaches, waving Barnsley flags and coaches arriving could have easily run one or two over. It would have been the fault of anyone BUT the drivers, as someone should have been down that end as well, so people could only get to the coaches at one end (or at least held back).
Weren't they all trust voluntters? I never (at stage) saw anyone in authority controlling the situation. No-one from the club and no-one from the police appeared to be present. Remember this was all taking place within the stadium grounds.
