I'm Going On The Train Got a good 40 minutes to get back to the train station after the match. Should be fine, as it's bound to be heavily policed.
RE: I'm Going On The Train i've never actually been there before, do you know which way it is from the station?
RE: I'm Going On The Train Out of the station straight ahead, cross the main road (pelican) then turn left and follow yer nose (and the crowd!) along Shoreham Street, passing Rayjo Deedar on your right. 10 - 15 mins.
Don't worry, you'll be chased there. Just try to keep a couple of yards ahead of your escorts, then nip into the away end upon arrival. It certainly keeps you fit. (Serious advice - don't go in colours and simply follow the locals - it's about a 10 minute walk if memory serves)
Trains......... get in at half past the hour and so police will probably be there from the 11:30 arrival.
If you want to avoid Being "rounded up" by police at the station & frogmarched to the ground, I suggest that you don't wear colours, & look like a "shopper" or something. I can see it now on arrival at the station, hundreds of reds fans discarding scarves, and pulling out HMV carrier bags. Seriously though they will do that - which is ok if you want to go straight to the ground, but if you want to go for a pre match drink, you need to sidestep the police by posing as a shopper/ skater dude/ computer geek/ someone with no interest in football.
RE: If you want to avoid I'm not wearing my football shirt that day, but if I get searched, I think the match tickets will give it away
