My best mate has bought me a filter coffee/espresso machine for Christmas. What's the best coffee to use?

Italian strength, fair trade if possible. Small cup, loads of brown sugar.... rocket fuel !!!! you won't sleep for a week !!! Add to that some dark chocolate and a bit of red wine ....yum

I like Percol Americano, quite strong, or the strong Italian blends, I go for the fair trade varieties.

Also try flavoured coffees - I've got a Christmas spice blend, alternatively just put a cinnamon stick in the pot.

I've just been bought a blender and grinder - so now to buy beans and have freshly ground - apparently it's so much better.

It'd be a good coffee to keep me awake

I'm renoun for being able to down a cuppa and then fall straight asleep. Like the sounds of adding the dark chocolate

I tend to nibble the choc and sip a bit of red wine..... all finished off with the rocket fuel. I don't take sugar in drinks apart from with espresso.
