    He's a goner, isn't he?

He clearly feels he's better than the third division, and I can't say I blame him. He clearly thinks he's gave it his all this season, which I again can't disagree with too much. He had a couple of barren spells where his quality and goals went missing, but overall he's been our best outfield player. He doesn't believe others have performed well, I agree again, many haven't. But it does seem a bit iffy of him to mention that.

All in all, I think he'll be getting his agent to find him another club. I doubt the club will stand in his (or Cranie's) way as they're rumoured to be the two highest earners. Good luck to the bloke.

Would gladly let him go, Rubbish second half of season. Slightly better first half.

I think he'd look a lot better in a winning team, a more attacking, quality side. But then again, the COG we've seen of late is the COG Wednesday fans told me he was - never near the area, always on the wing, looks spent after 30 minutes.
But to be fair, I've seen more of the 'good' COG than I have the 'bad'.

Just hope we get over a million for him. He's scored 25 goals in two seasons at this level, as a target man, in **** sides.

He is if someone will pay the money. No guarantee of that and I hope with Ben Mansford at the helm we now have someone who will get a player's true worth. Or preferably more.

Me n all, but are we now a club that will also refuse to sell a player if they want out and only **** offers are forthcoming? Methinks his wages will be something Mansford and co will want off the wage bill, and so they may take a lower than reasonable offer.

He can go for me. No problem with that. If someone in the championship looking for a winger he might get a move. At least he's only thinking championship because he wouldn't get a game in the prem.

COG has been hot n cold this season.

Sounds like he thinks he is a Championship quality player, but to be fair, who will take him at this level?

If he goes, fine, i can live with that......just get what he is worth in transfer fee terms and re-invest (which is where my worry is, cos this hasn't been DW's strongest point, thus far ie. loan cash he has spent).

Doncaster will be in for him if they stay up

ideal partner for Billy Sharp. As for fee, cannot see him going for more than £300k, tribunal will decide.

If it stops us playing hoof ball all season, which with him in the side is inevitable, I'd accept him leaving no problem.

He has a higher opinion of himself than I have of him that's for sure ....... he's been very poor in my opinon and I know that I am in the minority, and he's our leading scorer despite getting no service etc. etc. etc. but I really don't get all this big love in for him, I really don't.

I'm sure I read something earlier in the season where him (or his agent) said he could play in the Premiership - really? So could I then

Re: COG remarks in The Stir..

Personally I don't think he'll attract much attention from Championship clubs.

The PL and Champions League games over the past week have confirmed that he is a bit of a dinosaur in the modern game. Big target men belong to a bygone era or the lower leagues. Swift counter attack is the game plan adopted by most progressive coaches nowadays and his lumbering style is the antithesis of that approach.

Although Wilson might go for someone more suited to that style of play. In my opinion O'Grady's OK with the ball played into his feet. Hopeless in the air (as a target man).

To be fair to him despite some periods where he wasn't scoring his record was still pretty good for a team that struggled for long parts of the season. Stick him in a better team and you could probably add at least 6 more goals on to his tally - not including the missed penalty ;)

Always been really surprised by this. Not that you've slagged him off or anything, but you've said a couple of times you don't rate him. Apart from the real wastes of space, you're usually pretty forgiving of all our players. IMHO he's been one of, if not the best player in our squad over the last 18 months. That doesn't make him a superstar like, he's not had a lot of competition, but I think he's held his own and been a good signing. Opinions and all that.
