I suspected he would slip down the order after a few of ther new signings and perhaps the Baldock one pushed him out altogether.mto be honest I like COG, a good championship player but he has to be in a team that suit his style. Can't help thinking Brighton aren't that team.

Does that mean Brighton fans were correct in their criticism of signing a player from a relegated club?

Agreed and it looks like a return to the fringes for him, such as characterised his career before he came to us.

Hope it works out for him but have a feeling we may not have seen the last of him in a Reds shirt.

Maybe not for a while but if his stock falls you never know.

Reminds me of Currie going to Forest, Ward to Blackburn - neither came near what they'd done with us and don't think Currie even got a kick.

Didn't think Ward did that bad for Blackburn

I liked COG but I always thought he was never better than an average championship player. Had his wages not been an issue I think he'd have been a good player for us in league one.

played 54 in the league for Blackburn compared to 46 for us and he wasn't an out and out striker

No surprise there. The surprise for me would be if he ever made their team. I'm sure they've worked him out by now in training.

I wonder how long until the chairman asks the manager why he wanted to bring in a player only for him to be on around 60k a month to sit in the stands on matchdays.

Cog waint be bothered.....he can sit on his arse on a fat wage forever I guess. He has had more clubs than Nick Faldo in the past so he clearly likes moving around and hoovering up the cash.

No loss...he was oreight at Oakwell but no legend.

Seen a few suggest that Brighton won't suit O'Grady's style of football.

Don't get that as the best football O'Grady played for us was when we played it mainly on the ground in the second half of the season when Flitcroft took over from Hill.

When we played hoof ball it didn't suit O'Grady

I can never get ***** like this. He was fantastic for us, just let it go . Same with Butterfield. Players move on, but our fans seem to have a need to have some kind of character assassination with anyone who moves on. ******* grow up.

The 21 goals he scored? The many assists? The hard work? Impeccable behaviour on and off the pitch?
