Good morning from Cornwall

Whats all this about then ?

I've always been told to be careful not to fall in the canal as hyperthermia will take hold and it won't be good for me.

Since I was a kid I've always been warned not to jump into a reservoir for a swim in the summer for the same reason - the sudden cold will kill me.

Now I've been advised to jump into an ice bath after a work-out or long bike ride. Are they trying to finish me off are shall I give it a try ? I'm suspicious as I've seen what it does to the England cricketers.

no you will feel the benefit.

the ice water breaks down all the lactic acid in your muscles built up during exercise which means they wont ache after
