Cole now clear top scorer

17 goals makes him the clear number one. OK ony by one goal but thats a plus for us. He could make the high 20's...... Maybe 30, dare I dream?

 

Hopefully he gets at least 25 and it means we are promoted so we can offer him a championship contract in the summer.

 

When does his contract expire?

 

This summer. Along with Kane, Cadden and Williams. I think.

Could be a busy summer with incomings and outgoings.

 

And that’s also what makes it a decent January window. We’ve kept who we wanted to keep.

I think most fans will agree Styles won’t be a loss to us, but keeping Cole and Kane etc was crucial.

 

Absolutely. I’ve seen some sarcastic, derogatory comments saying “it’s been a good window because we haven’t sold anyone”. Given we could lose the 4 I mentioned above for nothing in the summer, it’s been a very good outcome that we didn’t cash in on any of them.

 

Cole will certainly have upped his admirers after his display today. Excellent game.

 

Shame about his second effort, great save by keeper though. I've been really impressed with Cole this past 18 months - long may it continue, for the reds that is!

 

He could get 30 goals.

 

25 at least should be the aim.
