I got to thinking today (pre-match) this argument about "experience" To my mind, Colgan has been a RESERVE goalkeeper wherever he's been. Hence..wait for it...he has CONSIDERABLE experience as a RESERVE keeper. So, stick him in the reserves. He's way more RESERVE team experience than Flinders. And he COULD be a decent fall back. Bnd get that young lad in. You know, the one who LOOKS like a goalkeeper. Harsh...but fair. One of Nick's f*** ups, for all we know, has also cost Robbie his BFC career (at a stage when he plays LM till Howard's in, every match counts). And this presumes what I already think, that Robbie is too slow for full back. Either way, don't tell me a penalty save makes up for Colgan's usual wanderings. He makes me think Miller and Marriott had the right idea - if you don't possess enough ability to catch a ball STAY ON YOUR F***ING LINE. I wonder, was Scott laughing or crying today???
"One of Nick's f*** ups, for all we know, has also cost Robbie his BFC career" Sorry - did I miss the bit where Colgan broke Williams leg?! 1. It wasn't even deliberate handball so the refs to blame, Willaims made an excellent stop on the line. Second - if it was deliberate handball then Williams is to blame. Goalies do get caught out of position and defenders cover on the line and clear it - look at other players sent off for deliberate handball - all those the keepers fault as well?!
