and we havent even started this season yet.
I cant understand why. Dont all keepers make errors. Was it all his fault we conceded two today?
A one on one after a deflected shot and an unstoppable header dont contribute to a disasterous display in my book.
All those people who reckon Flinders is the man need to realise the guy is very young and inexperienced. If he concedes a couple of bad goals in a match chances are with the slaughtering of players at the Well he will lose all confidence and ability. Lets also remember he isnt infallable (note the goal at Hull last season). Or does he get away with mistakes where Colgan wouldnt because hes a local lad?
For me Colgan was a very good keeper, lost his confidence and is now under the scrutiny every time he goes near a ball. I cant really remember that many goals Colgan has conceded solely by his mistake (MK Dons...any others?). I do remember some of his brilliant saves and pen saves from last season though.
As for those calling for Turnbull to come back. He aint no superstar. I remember the first match where he let 2 go through his fingers. He has improved but still looks shaky at times.
Obviously Scarsella aint up to it or he would have been given a chance.
I would like to see Tony Caig back myself. But maybe we should look at the centre of defence before we fork out for another keeper.

one or two problems with Colgan:

Glued to his line most of the time

    intermittantly comes for crosses

    doesn't command his box

doesn't talk to the defence and leaves them in two minds

not the best kicker in the world

Id have Flinders before Colgan like, but I think Colgans got a good kick on him. Picked out Robbie Williams and Big Baz today perfect.

    Personally i think Colgan

is one of the best kickers of the ball. I also think he communicates well with the defence (shouts a lot more than Flinders). But i do agree on his ability to judge crosses. I much prefer to see him punch the ball away than attempt to catch it.

Well apparently he was at fault for the goal at Bideford, and he should have saved Healy's goal today. He completely mishit it, and it was almost straight at him.

He made some horrible errors when we got fúcked up the árse by Manchestoh Citeh. Throwing the ball over his line and getting away with it springs to mind.
