time for the bench, distribution bloody shocking. Get the ball and hoof the f#cker down field ! Why ? use the full backs and work the channels, then cross the ball into the box for the forwards. Not rocket science just a simple game

    to be fair

Colgan spent all the first half asking Austin to come back for the short ball but he ignored him.

    Let's be fair though

Distribution wise, Colgan was probably only doing as he was told - and hgis kicking is as good as any goalkeeper (with either foot).

Normally, he does bowl the ball out, but that didn't happen at all today.

I'd like to compare his display with that of the Sunderland 'keeper - but I can't remember him having to face a single shot.

Was right behind the 1st goal - he had to save it. Straight through his hands. I don't like being critical of him and this is the first time I had been - but he's in the side for his shotstopping. He didn't do it today. Hopefully he'll bounce back with a match-winning performance at Plymouth.

    That's true enough

The ball did go through Hecky's legs, so it made it a bit more difficult to stop.

I agree that he got his hand to it, so he should have stopped it. Definately, as goalkeeping error.

However, there is an element on this board who feel that "anyone is better than Nick Colgan". Where are all the people who wanted us to sign up Mark Crossley?

Thought Colgan had another poor game today. Should have saved 1st one and his distribution was terrible. A few times Howard was screaming for him to throw the ball out to him for a quick break but he just wouldn't do it. And his kicking out of his hands is poor. Maybe time to give Lucas a game.

    erm no. not at all

Colgan NEVER plays the ball to the full backs. Ever. Fact.

He hoofs it up field every single time. Without fail.
